Rental terms
These rates apply to a maximum of six guests + an infant in a cot/crib (hire of cot/crib is extra) and includes: pool maintenance, gardener & all linen/towels (including pools towels).
For bookings up to 10 nights the maid service will be on your day of arrival and day of departure only. Bookings for 11 nights or more will also have a mid stay linen/towel change and clean.
We don't take a damage deposit, but in addition to the above rates there is a mandatory accidental damage waiver (ADW) fee of £12.50€15.25 per person, per booking.
This is to cover you for any accidental damage that may occur in your property during your holiday, this will cover you up to the value of £150.00€183.00 per person.
A 25% deposit is required at time of booking with the balance payable 10 weeks before occupation.
A tastefully furnished traditional home
The accommodation at La Casita is on one level. As you enter the outdoor vestibule to the right is the spacious lounge/ dining area which has a large smart TV and WiFi internet.
Leading from the lounge is a modern fully equipped kitchen with granite worktops, electric hobs, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine etc.
Also on the ground floor in the main part of the home is the air-conditioned master bedroom that has an en suite shower room with a walk in shower, double sinks and wc.
The second twin bedroom is to the left of the outdoor vestibule. This bedroom has an ensuite shower room with a walk-in shower, wc & basin.
Outdoor living is a big part of the lifestyle in Spain, with the year round warm weather this is where you will spend most of your holiday.
With in excess of 320 days sunshine a year, you are practically guaranteed perfect weather for a BBQ. Have a long leisurely lunch sampling some of the best food and drink the Mediterranean has to offer
Dine al fresco on a balmy summer evening and soak up the spectacular views across the Andalucian countryside towards Africa in the far distance. Enjoy time together sharing a BBQ'ed lunch, Iberico pork is particularly good here and ribs in BBQ sauce a particular favourite of mine. Fish is also plentiful and fresh, the fish & sea food counter in the supermarket at Carrefour has a fabulous choice.
Views of Sea and Mountain
Directly outside the front door of La Casita is the private pool with roman style steps. There is a table sat under the shade of the palm tree, perfect for taking breakfast. To the left of the pool is the barbecue area with an Andalucian style barbecue and dining for 6 guests. To side of the house is a quiet corner with sun beds to relax and enjoy the famous Mijas sunshine.
1 Bedroom Apartment with Ensuite bathroom
Attached to the main house is the annex which has a spacious double bedroom with a king size double bed and an en-suite bathroom with walk in shower, wc and basin. The annex has direct access to the terrace and pool area.
Relax and enjoy wandering around the narrow streets of Mijas
The urbanisation of Mijas La Nueva has 2 shared pools, the nearest to La Casita is close - this takes approx. 10 minutes to walk (uphill last 5 minutes).
The 2nd pool is next to the Carob bar & restaurant ... this is a large pool with a shallow children's area. Sunbeds are provided by the urbanisation (1st come, 1st served!). Next to this pool is the tennis court.
La Casita is ideally located for easy access to the picturesque and vibrant village of Mijas with its narrow streets, quaint shops and friendly restaurants. The Mirlo Blanco takes pride in the food it serves (see our restaurant guide). One of my favourite dishes is the crab, served hot in its shell. I also highly recommend the house specialty Souffle ... delicious!
Approx. 15 minutes away are the long sandy beaches, lively bars and nightlife of Fuengirola. The promenade is peppered with beach bars and restaurants and you can take boat trips from the marina. Fungirola's pretty harbour has many restaurants to choose from and is the perfect place to people watch while enjoying a leisurely lunch.
With large sandy beaches and a colourful array of sights the Costa del Sol is a beautiful region to visit. With options ranging from the the lively and cosmopolitan to the peaceful and traditional, it's all here for you on the Costa del Sol.
