Casa Althea - A Spanish home situated in the peaceful countryside of Andalucia yet just 10 minutes from the picturesque village of Mijas. Casa Althea offers traditional Spain at exceptional value for 2 families.
The pool area is located close the lounge and a great shaded terrace with a built-in bbq - perfect for al-fresco dining by the pool in the evening or relaxing reading a book in the cool shade during the day ... this is my favorite spot!
Come to Spain where the locals celebrate fiestas with a passion and the atmosphere has a relaxed 'manana' attitude.

Simply, yet comfortably furnished
The ground floor accommodation comprises of a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a second twin bedded room and a double bedroom (air-conditioned) - these two bedrooms share a second bathroom with shower.
Also on this level is the spacious lounge and open plan kitchen which has an electric oven, gas hobs (stove tops), microwave, fridge/freezer etc. In a separate laundry room, just outside the house you will find the washing machine.
Casa Althea also features a WiFi wireless internet connection (bring your own laptop/Ipad, no extra costs involved). There is also Canal+ TV and a DVD player.
On the 1st floor (accessed via an external staircase) is the spacious air-conditioned master double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a view! This bedroom also benefits from it's own private large terrace.
The pool area has the most amazing views
Breakfast in the shade of the terrace and take in the views with your morning cuppa and toast while you plan your day. Will you spend it swimming in the lovely private pool or lounging on one of the sun beds around the edge? Antonia, the owner of Casa Althea, has built her own mini crazy golf for you to enjoy!
With views of the Andalucian countryside, the pool area is a great area to relax ... shade or sun, Casa Althea has it all.
Enjoy the great cuisine of Spain
Casa Althea is secluded but not isolated; your friendly neighbours won't mind if you make acquaintance with the sheep and the hens that sometimes wander freely through the surrounding area!
With in excess of 320 days sunshine a year, you are practically guaranteed perfect weather for a BBQ. Have a long leisurely lunch sampling some of the best food and drink the Mediterranean has to offer.
The shaded terrace is a lovely area to all sit down & enjoy time together sharing a BBQ'ed lunch. Iberico pork is particularly good here and ribs in BBQ sauce a particular favourite of mine. Fish is also plentiful and fresh, the fish & sea food counter in the supermarket at Corte Ingles has a fabulous choice or try the local market in Mijas Pueblo. The wines of Spain are fantastic and they like to keep the best ones to themselves, what a better way to spend an evening than to sample different Riojas and Cavas.
If cooking is too much like had work then try one of the traditional Spanish Ventas (restaurants) amid breath-taking mountain views. The nearest Venta De Los Condes is just 1.5km away and another of my favourites Venta Los Morenos about 5km towards Alhaurin ... if you want serving, wave your arms and hope for the best!

Property Guest Book
"Hi Tara,
Hope you’re well. Just wanted to say how much we all enjoyed our most recent trip to Althea. The Villa and Mijas is such a home from home now it always feels like such a welcome return when we get there. I still forget just how beautiful the views are from the garden and from that glorious picture window in the lounge.
It’s always so awful when we have to leave.
I’m sure we’ll be back, if not to Althea then to another of your villas. Maybe time to spread our horizons!
Until then, thanks again for all the care and attention you and your colleagues/family show to us. Take care and very best wishes."
Patrick, UK
