Rental terms

All the above rates are for a maximum of eight guests + an infant in a cot/crib (hire of cot/crib is extra) and includes: pool maintenance & all linen/towels (including pool towels). For bookings up to 10 nights the maid service will be on your day of arrival and day of departure only. Bookings for 11 nights or more will also have a mid stay linen/towel change and clean. We don't take a damage deposit, but in addition to the above rates there is a mandatory accidental damage waiver (ADW) fee of £12.50€15.25 per person, per booking. This is to cover you for any accidental damage that may occur in your property during your holiday, this will cover you up to the value of £150.00€183.00 per person. A 25% deposit is required at time of booking with the balance payable 10 weeks before occupation.

A lovely traditional villa full of the flavour of Spain

Al Campo is a typical Spanish home furnished in a Spanish style yet with all the modern conveniences.

The lounge/dining room, kitchen and the cloakroom (which has a walk-in shower) are all on the same level as the pool area, whilst on the 1st floor you will find the 4 air-conditioned bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Leading from the entrance hall is the lounge/diner and the kitchen. The kitchen has granite work tops and is fully equipped with an electric oven and hobs (stove top), microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, toaster, kettle etc. The spacious lounge/dining room has direct access to the pool area. WiFi Wireless Internet is also available at Al Campo (please bring your own I-pa/ laptop). Please note that there is a small connection charge that is paid locally on-line ... available hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.

Immediately outside the lounge is a shaded terrace that overlooks the pool along with an Andalucian style BBQ area.

On the first floor are 4 air-conditioned bedrooms - the 'master' bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath that has a shower-over-the-bath, twin basins and a wc. This bedroom also has an enclosed south facing terrace with fabulous views across the Andalucian countryside all the way to Africa on a clear day. The 2nd bedroom is a twin that also has a private south facing terrace. The next bedroom is also a twin, this twin bedded room leads through to the 4th bedroom that has a double bed. These 3 bedrooms share a family bathroom that has a bath with a shower-over-the-bath, basin and wc. There is also the cloakroom on the ground floor that has a walk-in shower with a basin & wc.

Relax by the pool whilst soaking up the Andalucian sun

The centre feature at Al Campo is the lovely pool (approx. 8m x 4m) that has child friendly Roman style steps leading into the shallow end.

Ample sun beds are provided and should you want to relax and read a book there is a shaded South facing terrace with a sofa that over-looks the pool.

Enjoy time together with friends & family sharing a BBQ'ed lunch

With in excess of 320 days sunshine a year, you are practically guaranteed perfect weather for a BBQ. Have a long leisurely lunch sampling some of the best food and drink the Mediterranean has to offer.The shaded BBQ area is situated next to the pool and is a lovely area to all sit down & enjoy time together sharing a BBQ'ed lunch. Iberico pork is particularly good here and ribs in BBQ sauce a particular favourite of mine. Fish is also plentiful and fresh, the fish & sea food counter in the supermarket at Corte Ingles has a fabulous choice. The wines of Spain are fantastic and they like to keep the best ones to themselves, what a better way to spend an evening than to sample different Riojas and Cavas.

Ideally situated to cater for most peoples interests

There is something for everyone in this area - the picturesque Andalucian village of Mijas has many charming shops and restaurants, perfect for an early evening stroll. Inland can be found the 'Real Spain' of breathtaking mountain views and many 'Ventas' - the typical Spanish restaurant. One of our favourites, Venta Los Morenos, is just 15 minutes by car on the Alhaurin El Grande road. It's great for Sunday lunch - very cheap, very Spanish, very noisy - why not give it a try!

You could be walking in the scenic Sierra de Mijas, wandering around the local shops or you could be playing golf at one the many championship golf courses see our Golf Course Guide. Al Campo is also well situated for those seeking a cultural holiday ... the drive to the historic town of Ronda is one not to be missed, and the famous Alhambra Palace in Granada is an interesting 2 hour drive. Cordoba and Sevilla are also both easily accessible with a hire car or by coach.
