Welcome to La Finca ...

La Finca feels very much a home and has been decorated with typical Spanish furnishings and many traditional rustic pieces. This delightful home can't fail to 'wow' you!

All the accommodation is on one level with the exception of one bedroom and bathroom.

You enter Finca Rustica via the kitchen. This charming Spanish style kitchen has electric hobs (stove top), combination microwave/oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, pod coffee machine, kettle, toaster etc. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine and a second fridge/freezer.

The open plan kitchen leads to the dining room/lounge - the cozy lounge has a fire place for those chilly winter evenings and has direct access to the south facing terrace. There is a TV room at the rear of the house that has a flat screen TV, DVD player & IPTV (TV via the Internet). WiFi Internet is provided (no extra charge).

Next to the TV room is the master bedroom that has a king size bed, there is no A/C but a fan is provided - this room though tends to keep cool even in the summer. The en suite bathroom has a bath, walk-in shower, wc and twin basins. This bathroom is "Jack & Jill" with the twin bedded room. The twin bedroom has a fan and views of the front terrace.

On the 1st floor is a spacious air-conditioned bedroom that has a double bed. Next to the bedroom is a shower room that has a walk-in shower, wc and basin.

La Finca your Andalucian Oasis

Who needs to go anywhere else when you can relax by the pool at La Finca.

The grounds are private & not overlooked. The inviting pool is approx. 8m x 4m & has gentle Roman style steps leading into the shallow end ... work up an appetite for a long leisurely lunch in the shade.

Lazy lunches and memorable dinners!

The shaded terrace at La Finca is a lovely area to sit and share a long leisurly lunch with friends and family. Why not BBQ some local fish bought at the market in Mijas Pueblo & sample some of the many excellent inexpensive wines & beers that Spain has to offer. After lunch the only choice to be made is ... do you relax on a sun bed or seek a quiet spot in the garden away from it all for an afternoon siesta.

The white-washed village of Mijas with donkeys walking along the cobbled streets just shows how life here has remained as traditional as ever. The numerous restaurants and tapas bars give you plenty of places to sample the other Spanish delights.

Down the hillside, just 15 minutes away are the long sandy beaches of Fuengirola, the pretty harbour and many lively bars and restaurants.

Inland can be found the 'Real Spain' of breathtaking mountain views and many 'Ventas' - the typical Spanish restaurant. One of our favourites, Venta Los Morenos, is just 10 minutes by car on the Alhaurin El Grande road. It's great for Sunday lunch - very cheap, very Spanish, very noisy - why not give it a try!

We wanted to send you our sincere thanks for a very special holiday at La Finca last week.

This was our first family holiday abroad in 8 years, and the first holiday with two of our three children, so we were a bit apprehensive.

The villa is in a superb position for peace and quiet, privacy and amazing views.

I was surprised how very well equipped the villa was - more than we could ever need. It was very obvious that La Finca has had so much love poured into it, evident by the furnishings and care taken to restore a beautiful building both inside and outside. The gardens and plants were also delightful.

Please pass our heartfelt thanks to the owners for their welcome note, the wine and for sharing the magic of this villa with us.

I was pretty emotional having to leave! Although we will not be able to spend this kind of budget every year, I know I will want to return to La Finca in the future as it now holds very special memories for all of us.

Please also thank Lisa, who rushed out at midnight on our arrival (flight delays, car hire issues, etc) to source and deliver the cot for our baby girl - she was so helpful and we were incredibly grateful.
