Casa Clover and Mijas was the most relaxing place to have spent the middle week of our honeymoon. Your recommendations of restaurants again is honest and accurate, but we felt you would be unlucky to have a disappointing meal anywhere in Mijas. We personally would also recommend the La Fuente if you are too lazy to walk the rest of the way into Mijas and Fiesta is fully booked.

"Ola!

I have just returned from Spain, Costa del Sol. There were six of us who rented a villa from Ian Fishwick's operation, Mijas Villas. Everything about the experience was positive.

From the beginning, when I was shopping for the perfect villa, he took the time to explain features of the properties until we landed the perfect one for our group. His follow-up was timely and informative. His assistant, Jan is pleasant and very efficient.

The villa, Casa Tartuffo, was absolutely splendid. We were two couples and two singles. Each couple got a lovely "master" suite with balcony in the upstairs. The two singles had private rooms and baths with everything one could possibly want. There is privacy, elegance, functionality and beautiful views of the sea, the continent of Africa and the village below from every area of the villa.

We had a representative, Lisa, who took care of our every need. She was available to us throughout our stay for special needs and she was always there if we needed her. Since there is no phone service to guests in the villa and we all had US-oriented phones, she was able to provide us a Spain-oriented cell phone, with a card, to use while we were there. This was very helpful.

The suggestion I would give you is to definitely rent a stand-alone villa as opposed to a "unit" in one of the urbanizations. Mijas is were Ian's beautiful villas sit high atop a mountain peak overlooking the populous villages. This is where you want to be; otherwise, you miss out on the sweeping views and privacy. The road is a bit winding and steep, but worth it.

The beaches are lovely. We found a nice stretch of beach in Marbella where we could WiFi at a lovely cafe called "Garum." The stretch of beach in front of this cafe is clean, expansive and the grilled fish and cold beer you can have brought to your chair is excellent! Also, parking at this beach area is easier than most places.

The weather was lovely 11 out of 13 days we were there (March). The pool is beautiful, clean and the area surrounding it is very cozy. We used the outdoor grill often and enjoyed the big outdoor dining room.

We rented a minibus (Opel Vivaro) from Autosflores and were pleased with it as well. It was clean, mechanically sound and comfortable. Ian can arrange the auto for you as well, I believe.

I simply would not think of going back to that area without using Mijas Villas. In fact, I would plan to go at a time when Casa Tartuffo was available! "

"Hi Ian, we have just returned from Mijas after a wonderful week. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the villas were lovely - especially Los Gemelos. What a fabulous home you have and the pool ...... well, it couldn't have been better for the children. Our oldest grand-daughter Chloe, who is 7, learnt to swim without her arm-bands and was able to swim the whole length before we left.

There was only one regret and that was not being able to stay longer. Lisa couldn't have been more helpful so all in all the holiday was everything we hoped it would be.

On this occassion we stayed at Casa TARTUFFO which was stunning in both its location and quality throughout. The villa offered all we could of asked for in a holiday and all of us left relaxed and with very fond memories of our stay.

I have as you know been using Mijas villas for the last four years now and dont intend to change that trend as a direct result of the first class service and quality of accommodation that your company offers. "Dear Ian & family,

Hopefully you will have received the keys by now. Just a quick note to say thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful villa it had every thing to make our week fantastic especially with the pool being heated to a warmer temp than we were expecting which made all the difference as that's where we seemed to spend most of the week in the early mornings and evenings.

Also you have a great team in Mijas, Lisa was very helpful on two occasions the first when we needed directions on the way to the villa as we took the wrong exit from the airport and secondly when we had no hot water as we told her there was no rush but within 2 hours a maintenance man arrived also a nice chap. When we arrived the villa was presented beautifully even down to fully swept patios and paths etc. Letting us use the villa for those extra hours on our last day made all the difference due to our late flight as it would have been a headache touring around with our luggage all day.

It was a perfect choice for our honeymoon to enjoy with our friends and family hopefully you will allow us to stay again.
