Rental terms

These rates apply to a maximum of nine guests + an infant in a cot/crib (hire of cot/crib is extra) and includes: pool maintenance, gardener & all linen/towels (including pools towels). For bookings up to 10 nights the maid service will be on your day of arrival and day of departure only. Bookings for 11 nights or more will also have a mid stay linen/towel change and clean. We don't take a damage deposit, but in addition to the above rates there is a mandatory accidental damage waiver (ADW) fee of £10.00 per person, per booking. This is to cover you for any accidental damage that may occur in your property during your holiday, this will cover you up to the value of £150.00 per person. A 25% deposit is required at time of booking with the balance payable 10 weeks before occupation.

Furnished & decorated with an electic mix of Modern & Spanish

Las Lunas is a fabulous home decorated & furnished to a high standard, as you enter the front door you know that you've arrived somewhere special.

On this floor is the spacious & well appointed kitchen equipped with granite work surfaces, freestanding 'cooks' stove with 6 gas ring hob & double electric oven, microwave, large floor standing fridge and freezer, coffee machine, dishwasher etc.



Next to the kitchen is the dining room and the lounge. The lounge has a working fire place, comfortable leather sofas, a flat screen TV, IPTV System & a DVD player. These rooms open out onto the large spacious terrace where you'll find an al fresco dining area & comfortable sofas in the shade. There are steps (gated) that lead down to the pool areas.



The bedrooms are set on 2 floors. On the same level as the entrance you will find:

Bedroom 1: A twin bedroom with en suite shower room (walk-in shower, WC and sink)

On the lower level there are 3 more bedrooms:

Bedroom 2: A twin bedroom with en suite shower room (walk-in shower, WC and sink)

Bedrooms 3 & 4:ARe know as the 'family suite', comprising of: a triple bedroom with 3 x single beds opening directly on to the pool area and a double bedroom with a double bed and an en suite bathroom (shower over bath, WC and sink). The triple bedroom can be s accessed either via the double bedroom or externally from the pool terrace.

Outdoor living is very much part of the lifestyle when staying at Las Lunas

This lovely shaded area next to the pool is a fabulous place to chill out and sit down & enjoy time together sharing a BBQ'ed lunch. Iberico pork is particularly good here and ribs in BBQ sauce a particular favourite of mine. Fish is also plentiful and fresh, the fish & sea food counter in the supermarket at Corte Ingles has a fabulous choice. The wines of Spain are fantastic and they like to keep the best ones to themselves, what a better way to spend an evening than to sample different Riojas and Cavas.

If cooking is too much like hard work there are many excellent restaurants in the area to try. The Mirlo Blanco (see our restaurant guide) takes pride in the food it serves and the service is second to none. Recently I enjoyed a whole crab served hot in it's shell followed by their famous house specialty Souffle.

Or if you would like to try a local Venta/Bar then one place not to be missed is the 'Alarcon Restaurante-Bar' located less than 5 minutes away near the west entrance to the village in Calle de Lasta, the Barrio district of Mijas Pueblo. Without doubt this is the best tapas bar in the village bar none ... it's where all the locals come ... so get practicing your Spanish! Fantastic choice and all cooked fresh at the bar. If you feel like something a little more substantial full meals are served on the roof terrace in the summer months.

Siesta in the shade or sunbathe by the pool

The centrepiece of Villa Alala is the beautiful large swimming pool (10m x 4m) with easy access making it perfect for young children & none swimmers alike. If the swimming feels too energetic, laze away an hour in the shade whilst admiring the view with a glass of cava in hand.

Villa Alala is accessed via a private driveway with electric security gates, it is completely secluded by high cypress and pine trees.

There are extensive mature gardens with a large range of tropical plants and shrubs; close to the pool is a large lawned area suitable for playing football or other ball games.

With everything you would need for the perfect vacation right at Villa Alala you probably will not want to venture too far. But, if you do, the white washed village of Mijas is only 1.3 km away.

This charming mountain village boasts sweeping views towards the Mediterranean and the Rif mountains of North Africa. The centre of the village is a tangle of narrow streets and was once an important commercial and trading centre for the Romans. Standing above the village are the Sierra de Mijas mountain range which is surrounded by pine forest. For such a small town there is a very good selection of bars and restaurants serving mouth watering local cooking as well as international cuisine.

If you would rather take a refreshing swim in the inviting waters of the Mediterranean or lead the bucket & spade brigade in building a sand castle then La Cala beach is only a 10 to 15 minute drive. This lovely beach is perfect for a day out and has many Chirringitos (beach bars) to sample mouthwatering sea-food.

Villa Alala is also well situated for those seeking a cultural holiday ... the drive to the historic town of Ronda is one not to be missed, and the famous Alhambra Palace in Granada is an interesting 2 hour drive. Cordoba and Sevilla are also both easily accessible with a hire car or by coach.
