Palacio La Melanie is set in a private garden with views across the Andalucían countryside.

Palacio has a large private swimming pool, a wonderful shady al fresco pool side dining area with an Andalucían style BBQ and if cooking seems too much like hard work, there are many restaurants and bars close by Alhaurín el Grande where there are many restaurants for you to discover a taste of 'real' Spain!

Rental terms

All the above rates are for a maximum of 8 guests + an infant in a cot/crib (hire of cot/crib is extra) and includes: pool maintenance & all linen/towels (including pool towels). For bookings up to 10 nights the maid service will be on your day of arrival and day of departure only. Bookings for 11 nights or more will also have a mid stay linen/towel change and clean. We don't take a damage deposit, but in addition to the above rates there is a mandatory accidental damage waiver (ADW) fee of £12.50€15.25 per person, per booking. This is to cover you for any accidental damage that may occur in your property during your holiday, this will cover you up to the value of £150.00€183.00 per person. A 25% deposit is required at time of booking with the balance payable 10 weeks before occupation.

Perfect for 2 Families, this villa is a real ‘home from home’

As you enter Palacio Melanie into the large hallway the double doors in front of you lead to a large central covered courtyard. This courtyard has a Moorish feel & has a stylish square dining table with leather chairs.

There is a spacious games room with an American style pool table … shoot some pool whilst shooting the breeze with friends and family after a memorable meal.

The living areas are located around the right-hand side of the courtyard. The lounge with large patio door opens up directly onto the terrace. The lounge has two leather sofas and two comfortable leather lazy chairs, there’s plenty of space to relax and watch TV (IPTV - TV via the Internet) or watch a DVD. There is also an adsl WiFi wireless Internet connection (please bring your own tablet/laptop).

The kitchen is spacious and located next to the lounge. It is well designed with granite work tops, larger style fridge freezer, ceramic hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is everything here you would expect to find at home.

There is a seperate utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

The 4 en suite bedrooms are all located around the left side of the courtyard. These comprise of 2 twin en suite bedrooms (one with walk-in shower, the other has a bath with a shower over the bath), 1 double with en suite bathroom (with a bath and walk-in shower) and the larger master bedroom with en suite bathroom featuring a sunken bath and separate walk-in shower.

Living the Andalucian Way

Directly outside the lounge is a shaded terrace that overlooks the pool … a perfect for a place to start your day with breakfast or relaxing in the swinging chair whilst reading your newspaper.

The large pool has Roman style steps, perfect for children to splash about on. There are plenty of sun beds around the pool for relaxing and for the more active there is the table tennis table.

Centrally located yet away from it all

The built-in Andalucian style BBQ & shaded dining area is next to the pool - share a long relaxing al-fresco lunch with friends and family. Iberico pork is particularly good here and ribs in BBQ sauce a particular favourite of mine. Fish is also plentiful and fresh, the fish & sea food counter in the supermarket has a fabulous choice. The wines of Spain are fantastic, what a better way to spend an evening than to sample different Riojas and Cavas.

If cooking is too much like hard work then Palacio la Melanie is close to Alhaurín el Grande where there are many restaurants for you to discover a taste of 'real' Spain! Also within a 5 minute drive is ‘La Finca’, a recent discovery of ours and a ‘must try’, the lamb was particularly good.

Palacio La Melanie is situated in Alhaurin el Grande, a typical Spanish 'White Town' ... quieter than the coast yet uniquely positioned for discovering the beauty of Inland Spain and the coast. This is Spain how it used to be.

There are lots to see and do in the area. They don’t call it the Costa del Golf for nothing, the Seve Ballesteros designed Alhaurin golf course is just 10 minutes by car as are the riding stables and tennis courts at the Alhaurin Golf & Country Club.

We got back yesterday though none of us wanted to leave that lovely villa as we all had a fabulous time there.
There were a couple of little problems (Aircon and burst pipe) but both issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently.
