Las Acenas has mature gardens with many fruit trees
Laze around the pool, read a book in the shade of one of the mature trees or simply just daydream of your next visit to this lovely Andalucian villa.
Las Acenas gardens are well tended and cared for and feature some old avocado, olive and lemon trees ...if the pool area is too hot there is always some shade to be found under one of the trees.
The heated pool (extra charge for heating) is approx. 8m x 4m and has a large shallow end with Roman style steps which are ideal for children; sun loungers, shade etc are all provided. There is am Andalucian type built-in poolside BBQ with shaded seating.
Outdoor living is very much part of the lifestyle when staying at Las Acenas - the shaded terrace, which is located next to the kitchen, is a great place to meet for a long leisurely lunch whilst sharing a glass or two of Rioja with your friends and family.
Elegantly & tastefully furnished
The new spacious and stylish kitchen has a double 'Belfast' style sink and a centre island ... a real 'chef's kitchen' where you can create a Mediterranean feast for you and your family. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hobs (stove tops), fridge / freezer, built-in combi microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, juicer, toaster, coffee machine, etc. Outside the kitchen is a lovely shaded terrace with table and chairs to breakfast on those warm sunny mornings.
Great thought has been given to the tasteful furnishing of this home which will add to the enjoyment of your vacation. On the ground floor is the spacious bright & airy lounge / dining room has SKY TV (free to view) and a DVD player. On this same level as the lounge & kitchen is a bedroom with a pretty antique small double bed & an en suite walk-in type shower room; this bedroom benefits from patio doors that lead directly to the pool.
The stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor hallway. Off this hallway are 3 beautifully furnished double bedrooms (one with a large private terrace). These 3 bedrooms share the second bathroom and separate vanity unit. Las Acenas is fully air-conditioned (with heating in the winter) - this is included in the tariff, there is no extra charge.
WiFi Wireless ADSL Internet is available at Las Acenas (please bring your own laptop). Please note that there is a small connection charge that is paid locally on-line ... available hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
Las Acenas - Just a short stroll into the village of Mijas
The picturesque Andalucian village of Mijas is just a 5 minute walk and has many charming shops, restaurants and tapas bars - perfect for an early evening stroll.
Inland can be found the 'Real Spain' of breathtaking mountain views and many 'Ventas' - the typical Spanish restaurant. One of our favourites, Venta Los Morenos, is just 15 minutes by car on the Alhaurin El Grande road. It's great for Sunday lunch - very cheap, very Spanish, very noisy - why not give it a try!
They call this the Costa del Golf and with year round sun Mijas is perfect for your golfing vacation. There are nearly 60 golf courses in Andalucia, including more than 30 on the Costa del Sol. Las Acenas is only 10 minutes from Mijas golf courses and 5 minutes from Lew Hoads' famous tennis school.
Las Acenas is also well situated for those seeking a cultural holiday ... the drive to the historic town of Ronda is one not to be missed, and the famous Alhambra Palace in Granada is an interesting 2 hour drive. Cordoba and Sevilla are also both easily accessible with a hire car or by coach.
