A lovely villa full of the flavours of Spain
Acebuche has been furnished by the owners to make you feel as if you have arrived at your own home from home. As you enter into the villa into the spacious lounge with open plan kitchen you will find all of your own home comforts. The lounge has a TV with SKY free to view box & a playstation 2 (please bring your own games) to enjoy. WiFi Wireless ADSL Internet is available at Acebuche (bring your own laptop). Please note that there is a small connection charge that is paid locally on-line ... available hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven & hob, microwave, dishwasher, kettle & toaster. On this level there are 1 x double bedroom & 1 x twin bedroom both of these have fitted wardrobes and have great views across the Andalucian countryside.
These two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower over bath, hand painted sink & WC. The other 2 bedrooms are located down a flight stairs leading from the lounge (please note there is a stair gate at the top of the stairs for those guests with smaller children). Down the stairs is a utility room/ shower room with a washing machine, 2 further twin bedrooms (one of which has direct access to outside) and a shared shower room with walk in shower, hand painted basin & W/C. All of the bedrooms benefit from air conditioning.
The lounge leads directly out onto the terrace with a shaded dining area ... I'm sure this is where you would spend a lot of your time relaxing, watching the antics in the pool, taking in the stunning view & sampling some of the wines of the region. Next to the dining area is a built in BBQ & outdoor pizza oven. Imagine preparing fresh fish, fantastic ribs or prime steak sizzling on the BBQ while sipping a glass of Rioja or two.
Relax by the pool whilst soaking up the Andalucian sun
The figs in the basket are from the orchard.
Acebuche is set in lovely grounds it would be hard not to relax at this stunning location. The pool is approx 9m x 4m with child friendly Roman type steps;around the pool are ample sunbeds & should you require shade there are three bretha sunshades.
A country property in an ideal location
Spanish life centers around family, friends & food! At El Acebuche I am sure you will spend time relaxing over a long lunch BBQ'ing with your family & friends. Fresh produce is excellent in Spain & all of the big supermarkets have tempting fish & meat counters with a big selection. The best fish counter is in the Hypercor in El Corte Ingles where you can watch the crabs & lobsters in their tanks & choose from fish of all shapes & sizes.
El Acebuche is ideal for exploring the real Spain, why not venture out & find a Venta (restaurant) by the road side & enjoy a true taste of Spain. One of my favourites is Venta Morena & is located near by. It's very child friendly & you'll often see the waiters 'dodging' children running to & from the enclosed play area which can be seen from the outdoor seating area. The food is fantastic, gambas pil pil (prawns in hot garlic chilli oil) is one of my favourite dishes.
The beach at La Cala is only 10 minutes by car and is ideal for children and adults alike ... there are several chiringitos (beach bars) that serve mouth watering snacks and seafood. The resort also has many small tapas bars and fine restaurants. A short distance inland is the La Cala Golf and Country Club; several more local courses including Santana, Miraflores, Mijas Golf, Santa Maria, Rio Real etc ... all are within a 15-minute drive.

Property Guest Book
"Hi Zena,
Just a few lines to say how much we all enjoyed our stay last week at Acebuche, we loved the position and the house is lovely, very clean and well kept, we met the owner who I in broken Spanish hit it off with!! So all in all a perfect week, we have been using Mijas villas now for six years and have stayed in eleven properties!! so I thought maybe next summer we may try one in Estepona. Once again thank you for another very successful week and look forward to hearing from you soon."
