Rental terms

All the above rates are for a maximum of 8 guests + an infant in a cot/crib (hire of cot/crib is extra) and includes: pool maintenance & all linen/towels (including pool towels). For bookings up to 10 nights the maid service will be on your day of arrival and day of departure only. Bookings for 11 nights or more will also have a mid stay linen/towel change and clean. We don't take a damage deposit, but in addition to the above rates there is a mandatory accidental damage waiver (ADW) fee of £10.00 per person, per booking. This is to cover you for any accidental damage that may occur in your property during your holiday, this will cover you up to the value of £150.00 per person. A 25% deposit is required at time of booking with the balance payable 10 weeks before occupation.

Elegantly furnished with a very Spanish feel

This spacious Andalucian home is richly decorated in a traditional Spanish theme and has great views from every window. The accommodation and pool area at Casa La Alhaja are all on one level making access very easy.

The pool, shaded terrace and al fresco dining areas are located next to the lounge & kitchen. Casa La Alhaja has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing villa holiday.

You enter Casa La Alhaja into an impressive spacious bright and airy lounge/dining room which has vaulted ceilings keeping the house cool in the summer and giving a real feeling of space. The lounge has a large flat screen TV with IPTV (TV via the Internet) and a DVD player. There is an ADSL WiFi wireless Internet.

The lounge is open plan to the kitchen - and is fully equipped with an electric oven and hobs, a 'plancha', microwave, 2 x fridge/freezers, dishwasher, coffee machine etc. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine.

The 'Master' air conditioned bedroom is located in the east wing and has a king size bed and a sofa that can be converted into a double bed suitable for children. The lovely modern en suite bathroom has a corner bath, a walk-in shower, twin basins and a wc. The Master suite has direct access to the pool areas.

The two remaining bedrooms are in the west wing. The first air conditioned bedroom has 2 x single beds and direct access to the pool area. The bathroom is just across the corridor and has a walk-in shower, wc and basin. The remaining bedroom is also air conditioned and has 2 x single beds. This bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, wc and basin.

Siesta in the shade or sunbathe by the pool

The pool has easy access Roman style steps and a shallow end making it perfect for young children & none swimmers. If the pool feels too energetic, laze away an hour in the Jacuzzi whilst admiring the view with a glass of cava in hand. Sun loungers are placed around the pool area.

Casa la Alhaja has extensive mature Mediterranean gardens and grassed areas laid out on terraced levels, the bottom terrace is an orchard filled with a range of avocado and other fruit trees.

Overlooking the pool is a lovely shaded terrace with a gas BBQ, a dining table that seats up to eight and an outdoor sofa set.

With in excess of 320 days sunshine a year, you are practically guaranteed perfect weather for a BBQ. Have a long leisurely lunch sampling some of the best food and drink the Mediterranean has to offer. Iberico pork is particularly good here and ribs in BBQ sauce a particular favourite of mine. Fish is also plentiful and fresh, the fish & sea food counter in the supermarket at Carrefore has a fabulous choice. The wines of Spain are fantastic and they like to keep the best ones to themselves, what a better way to spend an evening than to sample different Riojas and Cavas. Andalucia is home to sprawling National Parks, dramatic mountain scenery, white villages, beaches and many leisure activities. Venture just a short way inland to uncover the delights of the "Real Spain" - an area peppered with traditional Spanish restaurants (ventas) amid breathtaking mountain views.

This family holiday region has lots to offer you for your memorable stay.

Casa la Alhaja is not far from the sandy beaches of the Costa del Sol & the charming village of Mijas

The beach at Fuengirola is just 10 mins (7 km) by car ... here you will find many chiringuitos (beach restaurants) serving a fantastic array of seafood, one of our favourites is Restaurante Botavara Playa (please see our restaurant guide for details), located right on the beach at the far western end of the Paseo ... always packed with locals!

Mijas Pueblo is 1.3km (3 mins by car or taxi), this charming 'White Village' with it's cobbled streets is a 'must' visit for an evening stroll. There are many craft shops, quaint restaurants and great tapas bars ... please see our Restaurant Guide for our favourites.
