Casa Adelante is beautifully furnished
The villa is reached via a number of stairs giving Casa Adelante absolutely stunning views from this elevated position. As you enter Casa Adelante and turn right you will come to the air conditioned lounge which has 3 comfortable sofas, large screen 46" LCD TV with surround sound, SKY TV (free to view pack), Blue-ray DVD & an Ipod docking station. WiFi Wireless ADSL Internet is also available at Casa Adelante (please bring your own I-pad or laptop). Please note that there is a small connection charge that is paid locally on-line ... available hourly, daily, weekly or monthly.
The air conditioned bedrooms are spacious and well appointed. The master double bedroom is located in its own turret and has windows on 3 sides making the most of the views. Below this bedroom is a twin bedroom (please note the access to the master bedroom is via this twin bedroom) - an ideal combination as a 'family' suite. These two bedrooms share a new modern bathroom with a walk in shower, double sink and w/c.
Down a short flight of stairs from the lounge is a further double bedroom and twin bedroom which share a bathroom with shower over bath, sink and w/c. The fifth bedroom is located just above the lounge close to the games room, this air conditioned bedroom has a double bed & a modern en suite shower-room with wc & basin.
Just above the lounge is the games room, dining room and kitchen.
The fully fitted modern kitchen has granite work tops, electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. The dining overlooks the pool and floods with light all year around, in the summer you can open up the large patio windows.
The games room has an American style pool table, 42" LCD TV with SKY satellite (free to view pack), dvd player and a Wii games console (there is a small selection of games but please bring your favorites).
A special place to relax and unwind
Enjoy the Spanish lifestyle and live outside at Casa Adelante. The pool is private, not overlooked & gated from the rest of the house giving peace of mind to those guests with young children. The inviting pool is approx 8 x 4m with child friendly Roman style steps, the pool can be heated for an additional charge.
Ample comfortable sun beds are provided to make the most of relaxing around the pool. On the same level as the pool is the lovely shaded terrace (top picture) with views towards the Pueblo & the Mediterranean in the far distance … a perfect place for ‘me’ time with a book and a glass of wine. Just above the pool area is the shaded outdoor dining and BBQ area. The Andalucian style BBQ will ensure that you cook up a memorable meal for all to enjoy!
Enjoy the great cuisine of Spain
With in excess of 320 days sunshine a year, you are practically guaranteed perfect weather for a BBQ. Have a long leisurely lunch sampling some of the best food and drink the Mediterranean has to offer.
The BBQ area at Casa Adelante is a lovely area to all sit down & enjoy time together sharing a BBQ'ed lunch. Iberico pork is particularly good here and ribs in BBQ sauce a particular favourite of mine. Fish is also plentiful and fresh, the fish & sea food counter in the supermarket at Corte Ingles has a fabulous choice. The wines of Spain are fantastic and they like to keep the best ones to themselves, what a better way to spend an evening than to sample different Riojas and Cavas.
If cooking is too much like hard work there are many excellent restaurants in the area to try. The Venta Morena (see our restaurant guide) located near the entrance to Mijas golf. If I had to pick one place that I love eating at more than any other, this is it. It is not smart or stylish but noisy and bustling and to top it all the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. On the menu my choice to start is usually either an excellent gambas pill-pill (prawns in a very, very hot garlic and chili oil) or boquerones frittos (whitebait to you and me), followed by something from the barbacoa ... the pork ribs are to die for!
Casa Adelante, the perfect place to spend your vacation.
Casa Adelante is close to Mijas Village with its special atmosphere offering plenty to see and do
You are only a short walk away from the picturesque village of Mijas. Stroll around the cobbled streets and browse the many shops and restaurants. The bull ring in the village is the only square bull ring in Spain.
The location means there is something for everyone - golden beaches, shopping malls and markets, excellent restaurants, many golf courses and scenic walks......all can be reached easily from Casa Adelante.
Casa Adelante is also well situated for those seeking a cultural holiday ... the drive to the historic town of Ronda is one not to be missed, and the famous Alhambra Palace in Granada is an interesting 2 hour drive. Cordoba and Sevilla are also both easily accessible with a hire car or by coach.
Venture just a short way inland to uncover the delights of "Real Spain" - an area peppered with traditional Spanish Ventas (a small inexpensive local restaurant) amid breathtaking mountain views.
