All the above rates are for a maximum of eight guests + an infant in a cot (crib) and includes: pool maintenance, air conditioning/heating & all linen/towels (including pool towels).
For bookings up to 10 nights the maid service will be on your day of arrival and day of departure only. Bookings for 11 nights or more will also have a mid stay linen/towel change and clean.
We don't take a damage deposit, but in addition to the above rates there is a mandatory damage waiver fee of £5 per person, per booking. This is to cover you for any accidental damage that may occur in your property during your holiday, this will cover you up to the value of £150.00 per person.
A 25% deposit is required at time of booking with the balance payable 10 weeks before occupation.
Casa del olivar - A home with elagance and style
As you enter Casa del Olivar you will notice the way the light pours into the lounge through the full length windows which show off the most amazing views across the countryside and down to the coast ... on a clear day you will have the most spectacular scenery of the Atlas mountains in Morocco in the far distance. This open plan lounge-dining room is a lovely place to enjoy an evening meal whilst watching the lights of Fuengirola dancing in the distance. This lounge has a TV, DVD, SKY digital satellite system (decoder card supplied all channels except sport and movies) and CD / cassette / radio. Through an archway you will find a second lounge ... a perfect place for a little peace and quiet to read a book away from the family.
The spacious and stylish kitchen has two separate sinks and a centre island, a real 'chef's kitchen' where you can create a Mediterranean feast for you and your family. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hobs (stove tops), fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, etc. The washing machine is found in a separate utility room.
Leading off the dining room, down a few steps is the spacious and chic master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom which has a bath with a shower over, wc and basin. This bedroom has a private balcony that overlooks the swimming pool & has views of the Mediterranean. Also, on this floor is a twin bedroom that can be accessed either through the master bedroom or an external door. This twin room shares the same bathroom with the master bedroom but has it's own separate access.
Down a flight of stairs from the lounge you will find the other two bedrooms, both are light and airy and attractively decorated with views down to the coast. To the left is the blue twin room with an ensuite bathroom witch has a shower over the bath, wc and basin. To the left is a double bedroom also with an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath wc and basin. This room also has direct access to the pool and garden areas.

Conveniently situated close to the kitchen is built-in BBQ & an outside dining table which is shaded by grape vines ... with the dappled light dancing on your table, what a great place to enjoy a leisurely lunch and a large glass of Rioja. After lunch stroll through the archway, go past the water fountain and down the curved stone steps to your large floodlit pool (can be heated at an additional £100 pw) . Siesta in the shade of the olive tree, or take in the spectacular views whilst soaking up the Spanish sun. What a perfect place to relax and let those tensions melt … dissolve and disappear!
Next to the pool there is a second outside shaded dining area with views towards the coast. There is a poolside heated shower; sunbeds, parasol etc are all provided.
Only a few minutes stroll to the heart of Mijas
Casa del Olivar is only a 10 minute stroll to the historic centre of Mijas Village with all its amenities ... imagine, in the morning taking a stroll to the bakery for fresh bread, pick up your daily newspaper, and later you find yourself having breakfast on the sunny terrace of Casa del Olivar!
One of my favourite bar/restaurants is just a few minutes on foot ... 'El Alarcon' (tel: 952 48 52 45) ... they serve some of the best tapas in Mijas ... definitely worth a visit.
Down the hill, only 10 minutes away by car are the long sandy beaches of Fuengirola ... with its delightful little marina and palm fringed promenade, it's a lovely location to enjoy a leisurely walk or a coffee overlooking the yachts. 'Lew Hoads' famous tennis club and restaurant is also only 5 minutes away by car.
