If you want to get away from it all Hacienda El Alamo is just for you! Built to a high standard in traditional Spanish materials with extensive use of wood and terracotta gives a feel of an old 'Andalucian dwelling', but complete with all modern comforts. Set amid lawns and orchards this very special place is a delight.
The tarmac road to El Alamo is in excellent condition, please though drive with care as the road winds down the mountainside for 1km through the pine forests to the 'hidden valley'. The views on the journey are spectacular and the location at the end of your journey is well worth the drive.

All the above rates are for a maximum of six guests + an infant in a cot (crib) and includes: twice pool maintenance & all linen/towels (including pool towels).
For bookings up to 10 nights the maid service will be on your day of arrival and day of departure only. Bookings for 11 nights or more will also have a mid stay linen/towel change and clean.
We don't take a damage deposit, but in addition to the above rates there is a mandatory damage waiver fee of £5 per person, per booking. This is to cover you for any accidental damage that may occur in your property during your holiday, this will cover you up to the value of £150.00 per person.
A 25% deposit is required at time of booking with the balance payable 10 weeks before occupation.

Hacienda Alamo is built around a traditional Spanish courtyard
You enter into Hacienda Alamo through the wrought iron gates into the cool central courtyard (picture below) featuring a fountain & fish pond*. All the accommodation for Hacienda Alamo leads off from this calm oasis.
Fall asleep to the sound of running water splashing from the fountain in the lovely shaded central courtyard. All the bedrooms are en suite. The 2 en suite twin bedrooms have direct access to this very relaxing and cool private area. Twin 1 has an en suite shower room comprising of a walk in shower, sink and w/c. Twin 2 has an en suite bathroom comprising of a shower over the bath, sink and w/c. The master bedroom is located off the lounge and has an en suite bathroom comprising of a spa bath, sink and wc … the master bedroom overlooks the pool.
*For guests with small children there is a cover available.
Hacienda Alamo is a traditionally built Spanish home designed to keep cool in the summer months & warm in the winter. The open plan lounge/dining room is spacious and has wooden beamed ceilings. There is a working fireplace that you can use during the cooler winter evenings. SKY TV (free to view pack) and DVD are provided as are a selection of games. The kitchen is complete with gas hobs (stove top), electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine.
Relax in the Jacuzzi and soak up the views across the Andalucian countryside
The Jacuzzi is situated on the upper level of the split-level terrace ... very private, overlooking the pool and mountainside ... you may even spot a passing eagle soaring above El Alamo. The superb pool is larger than most and is approximately 10m x 6m, with gentle Roman steps leading into the shallow end. There is plenty of space to place your sun beds and shaded areas to cool off in.
Barbequing in Spain is a must; imagine cooking up fresh local produce and eating outside either by the pool or under the shade of terrace while soaking up the atmosphere at this stunning location and sampling the local vino.
A hidden gem - yet just 6 km from the restaurants in Coin, Alhaurin & Monda
Hacienda El Alamo is secluded but not isolated and is in an ideal location to experience the 'Real Spain' ... an area peppered with traditional Spanish restaurants ("ventas") amid breathtaking mountain views. You can still find a 3 course lunch for €6! (price correct Spring 2009)
There is plenty to see and do in this area ... the drive to the historic town of Ronda is one not to be missed ... and the famous Alhambra Palace in Granada is an interesting 2 hour drive. If the glitz of Puerto Banus and the shopping or beaches in Marbella is more your thing ... then the 'new' road will have you there in under 30 minutes! The Seve Ballesteros-designed Alhaurin golf course is just 10 minutes by car as are the riding stables and Tennis courts at the Alhaurin Country Club.

"We have just had three weeks at this beautiful villa. In truth, it broke our bank to acquire it but it was well worth it. We wanted to have the best of both worlds - privacy during the Andalucian high season but also quick access to our favourite beach and restaurant. It was perfect in both respects.
The villa is set in stunning surroundings. The landscape ranked on a par with the West Coast of Corsica which, in our opinion, is one of the most beautiful parts of Europe we have ever been to. It was wonderful to watch the different shades and colours on the mountains from morning to dusk and we saw the birds of prey (referred to on the website) every day. The villa has all the mod cons and the DVD player was particularly helpful with a 3 year old in tow. The swimming pool is also big and the jacuzzi handy as an indulgent alternative.
Despite the rural nature of the place, there are plenty of restaurants nearby and Lidl and Mercadona supermarkets in Coin are easy to find and just 15 minutes away. The road down to Marbella is also good.
All in all a delightful holiday venue and superb location. We would not hesitate in recommending this villa to everyone.
