Architect-designed interior
You enter Finca Merino through enormous antique doors to a spacious home with a lovely bright and airy feel about it. The spectacular lounge, to the left of the hallway, has an amazing high vaulted beamed ceiling and the floors are finished in an antique marble parvey. The lounge is fully equipped with a TV, DVD player, SKY satellite (limited channels, free to view pack: BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, ITV2, Ch4, SKY news etc) and a CD/radio/cassette player.
To the right of the hallway you will find a spacious open plan kitchen-dining room and through a low arched Moorish window there are lovely views across the countryside. The kitchen has lovely wooden counter tops and is well equipped with every appliance you could need ... electric oven, gas hobs (stove top), microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, juicer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle etc. The perfect place for you to create your Mediterranean feast for your family.
There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.
In the west wing you will find the spacious air conditioned master bedroom with a high wooden beamed ceiling and an ensuite walk-in shower room with wc and basin. In the East wing of the villa is an air conditioned double bedroom with views of the swimming pool and the two air conditioned twin bedrooms. There is a bathroom with bath, walk-in shower, sinks and wc. There is a further shower room with wc & basin in the hallway.
All the accommodation is on one level except for one spacious air-conditioned double bedroom which is located on a mezzanine floor, this is accessed via an open plan staircase from the lounge.
The pool area is private and not overlooked
Outdoor living is very much part of the lifestyle in Spain - the poolside shaded terrace with the outdoor dining table & built in Andalucian style BBQ is a perfect place for a long leisurely lunch whilst sharing a glass or two of Rioja with your friends and family.
The outstanding pool is set in beautiful gardens in a stand-alone location providing privacy for you and your family. The designer pool is perfect for young children with a large graded shallow end ... relax in one of the comfortable sun loungers, watch the children splash around having fun in the sun or enjoy a good book. Or if you are feeling a little more energetic there is a table tennis table available for your use ... and it's in the shade!

Finca Merino is located a prestigious area
Finca Merino is located in the prestigious area of Campo Mijas, just 4 km from the beaches of Fuengirola and around 10 minutes from the picturesque Andalucian village of Mijas where you will find many charming shops and restaurants - perfect for that early evening stroll.
Inland can be found the 'Real Spain' of breathtaking mountain views and many 'Ventas' - the typical Spanish restaurant. One of my favourites is Venta Morena, it is just 10 minutes by car on the Coin road.
