These rates apply to a maximum of four guests + an infant in a cot (crib) and includes: pool maintenance, gardener & all linen/towels (except beach towels).
For bookings up to 10 nights the maid service will be on your day of arrival and day of departure only. Bookings for 11 nights or more will also have a mid stay linen/towel change and clean.
We don't take a damage deposit, but in addition to the above rates there is a mandatory damage waiver fee of £5 per person, per booking. This is to cover you for any accidental damage that may occur in your property during your holiday, this will cover you up to the value of £150.00 per person.
A 25% deposit is required at time of booking with the balance payable 10 weeks before occupation.
Soak up the sun in your own private pool
Breakfast in the shade of the terrace and take in the views with your morning cuppa and toast while you plan your day. Will you spend it swimming in the lovely private pool (8m x 5m) with child friendly Roman style steps or lounging on one of the sun beds around the edge? Perhaps you’ll plan a long leisurely BBQ or paella cooked on the built in traditional style Spanish BBQ. Why not go and find the avocados for your salad on the trees in the orchard. Or if you tear yourself away there is lots to see and do near by.
Relax in a traditional Spanish home
As you enter through the large double front door of Casa Lucia you will see the kitchen in front of you which has everything you would expect to find at home, hob (gas & electric), electric oven, fridge/ freezer, washing machine, toaster, kettle, coffee maker.
The air conditioned lounge is to the left of the entrance hall way and is cool and spacious with its own open fire place. There is a TV (Spanish), DVD, CD player for your entertainment and plenty of seating. The bedrooms lead off the lounge. There is an air-conditioned twin bedroom with a separate bathroom with small bath with shower over bath. Up a couple of stairs is the air-conditioned master double bedroom decorated in earthy Spanish colours with a separate bathroom with corner bath (with shower over the bath) and a dressing room opposite.
All the accommodation at Casa Lucia is on one level, the same level as the pool. Please note that the upper level of the house isn't used or occupied.
Go with the flow not with the masses
Give 'Venta Los Condes' a try, situated just a few kilometers away. A true 'local' Spanish bar serving tapas, food and excellent coffee all very reasonably priced. Watch out for the local diesel (local sherry) which is behind the bar in casks! Or go for a drive and find one of the many
other excellent Ventas in the area ... Venta Los Morenos, Los Candiles and La Finca are all within a 15 min drive away. We have spent many a pleasant Sunday researching our restaurant guide!
Approx. 2km away is the local farm shop selling free range eggs, home grown produce and fresh saffron, but stay too long and the farmer may offer to show you the chickens.
You can also keep the bucket and spade brigade happy at the family friendly blue flag sandy beach of La Cala, only 15 minute drive away from Casa Lucia. This is one of my favorite beaches, with several beach bars where you can hire sun beds and shade for the day and grab a spot of lunch.
The white village of Mijas is a 10 minute drive away with its cobbled streets, excellent restaurants and many shops. Why not take a stroll in the cool of the barmy Spanish evenings and pick somewhere to eat.
