A perfect pool in a perfect location
A few steps from the house is the large pool (10m x 5m) with Roman style child friendly steps; there are ample sunbeds, sun brollies & a poolside shower.
The building shown to the right of the pool is all part of Casa Encina - this is where the laundry room is housed & one of the two pool showers & wc.
Furnished for both comfort & relaxation
As you enter Casa la Encina to your right is the kitchen which has everything you need ... gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee machine etc. Outside there is a separate utility area with a washing machine, iron & board. The sleeping accommodation consists of 3 ample sized twin bedrooms and a spacious master double bedroom. Both shared bathrooms consist of a bath with shower over the bath. All bedrooms have air-conditioning & heating in the winter.
The lovely light lounge/dining room is air conditioned & has ample seating for 8, Spanish TV (with SKY news) and a DVD player. For use in the winter months there is an open fire in the lounge. The lounge leads out onto a large terrace that overlooks the pool. There is an outside dining table to seat 8 that also has shade, perfect for lunch or dinner whilst admiring the views towards the Mediterranean in the far distance.
All the accommodation at Casa la Encina is on one level, the pool is just a few steps below.
A rather special BBQ area!
What makes this house a bit special is the BBQ area ... it has it's own casita (little house) and a dapple shaded dining area under the grape vines. Imagine taking your time over a BBQ, sitting back enjoying a glass of Rioja whilst the brochettes and salchichas sizzle away. For desert why not try BBQ pineapple or bananas.
Casa Encina is 1.5km away from the picturesque village of Mijas. Stroll around the cobbled streets and browse the many shops and restraunts. The bull ring in the village is the only square bull ring in Spain!
..or why not go to one of the many street markets in the area. Great for a bargain or two and picking up fresh local produce. My favourite is the 'upmarket' market at Puerto Banus on a Saturday.
Casa La Encina, a perfect place for a wonderful holiday.
